Shottle hall is a stunning award winning wedding venue, standing on the edge of Peak District National Park in the Derbyshire countryside, Belper. As a busy Derbyshire Wedding Photography (gosh, the things that you have to do for google that make your post make no sense – bare with me)… photographer, I have captured many happy couples at this gorgeous wedding venue.
So let’s get to it… After a number of Covid related hurdles, Sam and Rob finally tied the knot on 11th August 21 at shootle Hall in Belper, near Chesterfield and it was definatley worth the wait. The day was filled with fun and laughter, amoungst their initmate guest list of close friends and family. Sam began her day getting ready in the lovely bridial suite at Shottle Hall. Rob rocked up in a limo with the boys, heading straight to the library bar.
Some of my personal highlights of the day included Rob seeing his daughter walking down the isle, followed by Sam looking stunning in her New York Bride dress and Ivy and Bloom flowers. The pure emotion just pured out. Sam walked down the isle to…. because…. The day boasted the brightest sunshine and after the ceremony and confetti train, we head out to the gardens for some obigitory group shots – got to keep the Nanna’s happy, before steals Sam and Rob for a moment on their own – well with their third wheel, obviously – you can shake me on your wedding day!
I just love heading down to the field, a short walk from Shottle Hall to play in the long grass and corn. Thankyou to the Shottle hall gardener, that had mowed us a lovely path in the wrong diretion to – said field – totally holding you responsible for our little detor – (getting lost) aha! I know Sam and Rob would agree getting lost, climbing over a gate and being carried over a muddy river just added to the adventure – lets call them memories – for me, our little adventure was an absolute highlight.
My other highlgiht was Rob’s suprise for Sam, ready for when we got back – Rob had arranged for Sam the Sax to play as she entered the room – It was epic and really set the vibe for an awesome set by her, total husband goals! Sam the sax also made an apearence on the dance floor later in the evening – playing all the classics and packing the dance floor out! What a vibe!
