Engagement Photoshoots or Pre-wedding shoots, as they are sometimes referred to, are a good way for you to get comfortable in front of the camera, and for us to get to know each other. Pre-wedding shoots are complimentary with all of my wedding packages. I aim to deliver relaxed, candid pictures of your wedding day. This does not just happen, as much as I’d love it to. I achieve this by getting to know my couples, investing time into our relationship, developing trust, and having a practice run in front of the camera helps to get rid of those nerves. Now if I had a £1 for every couple that told me they aren’t keen on having their picture taken – I’d be a millionaire. But in all seriousness, I totally get it, I hear you, I hate it too. So putting my self in your shoes, your wedding day should be one of the happiest days of your life and if I can help ease some of the stress and cancel any photography related stress off your list then, that comes with the job and I want to get an A+.
A few weeks ago it was Hope and Sam’s turn in front of the camera. I know they were nervous, we had met once before for coffee. I wasn’t nervous at all, they are completely my kind of people. I just seem to be lucky like that, attracting super kind, awesome folk as clients! Touch wood! Anyway, I’m rammbling… we went for a stroll with their family dogs… actually let me just say the most impeccably trained dogs I have ever meet. It was a warm evening, we walked, we talked and made fun of Sam (Obvs) he got us lost, we tried out some prompts and took lots of pictures. As the evening came to a close, I am always keen to know if my clients feel more relaxed – I’m currently on a winning streek and I dont want to to ever loose!
