Jessica and Matt’s Autumn Wedding at The White Hart Inn

Jessica and Matt, like most 2020 couples had been on a rollercoaster to get to their wedding day. First downsizing their day to 30 guests and then to an intimate 15, regulations changing throughout the planning process about what they could do and couldn’t do, resulting in a very different wedding than what they had origionally planned. One thing is for certain, though, their love for each other and their family shone through. I am truly in awe of Jess and Matt’s strength and determination to not let this pandemic win. They did not want to compromise and delay their life togther any longer. Going into lockdown number 2 as husband and wife with memories of their beautiful wedding October 2020.

This fabulous autumn micro wedding took place at The White Hart Inn in the Derbyshire countryside and the couple used heaps of local suppliers. Jess and her bride squad got ready in the beautiful bridal suite, while the groom and his people freestyled it at the bar. Jess wore a gorgeous dress by Wed2B and hand made her beautiful dried flower bouquets. So creative, much of the venue was DIY styled by Jess and her lovely family.

The bride squads hair was beautifully styled by Pheobe Hair, the makeup by Paige Richardson Makeup and the nails by The Nail Den.

The best man saw that no one missed out of big day and arranged a live feed to the wedding, with heap of friends and family tuning in. He also pulled out a surprise during speeches and skyped in the other best man too from Australia, as he was unable to fly over due to the pandemic. They did their best man speech togther with the power of technology!

The ceremony was conducted in the white Hart Inn’s ‘Orangery’. This room was perfect for a small ceremony. I loved the macrame backdrop made by Forget Me Knot, perfectly placed dried flowers and the autumn leaves running along the aisle. The theme continued into the reception room. Calligraphy by Rachel produced a beautiful table plan and place settings, finished off with a lovely DIY gift idea of a cactus.

The cake was stunning and made by Cakes made Pretty

Such a beautiful day, and memory to cherish forever. Not many couple can say they got married, against all odds in the middle of a pandemic. A love so strong that it won! check out some more pictures from this epic day, including our play with smokebombs that I hope the behind the scenes make the album because that is the sort of belly laugher you need to document!
